KOBE: As if Losing the Finals wasn't bad enough...

By now all of America knows that the Boston Celtics have triumphed over the Lack-luster Los Angeles Lakers in the 2008 NBA Finals. Now, Kobe Bryant will go down in history as the NBA's 2008 MVP that couldn't live up to that accreditation in the Finals. In fact several sports columnists and reporters have been saying that Kobe can't and won't EVER be able to win a championship without another All-Star at his side. I tend to agree...Kobe is not a champion without Shaq. And then a few days ago, Shaq Desiel threw out his two cents on the subject in the form of a free-style rap at a New York City Club...Kobe haters enjoy!

Aww, Don't cry Kobe.
Now just eat up your plate of Shaq's Ass, before it gets cold!

Jason Statham + Hot Wheels = Good Entertainment?

As one of the fastest rising action stars in film, Jason Statham, has set a standard in the short 10 years that he has been in the business. Ever since his role in The Transporter he has set a standard that audiences have come to expect, movies with non-complex plot lines and high octane action. That's why it comes as no surprise that Statham, who is known for his elaborately choreographed fight sequences and high speed car sequences will be reprising his role as The Transporter in the third installment of the series.

Here is a French Teaser for the The Transporter 3

Plus d'infos sur ce film

The funny thing with Statham's movies, they are all either REALLY BAD ASS (The Transporter, The Italian Job, and Crank) or they are REALLY BAD CRAP (In The Name of The King, War, and Ghosts of Mars). That is why it is hard for me to tell what Death Race, his other 2008 release, will be. The fact that Paul W.S. Anderson (Mortal Kombat, AVP: Alien vs. Predator) is directing, it leads me to assume that Death Race will be poop on wheels, but at the same time this trailer has some serious "ass kickery" potential and makes me think otherwise. But word to the wise, Paul W.S. Anderson is known for making some REALLY BAD CRAP.

Kristian Odland the ROCK STAR???

While attending a wicked Pajama party, I discovered the video game experience that is called ROCK BAND! Let me tell you, words can't explain the experience. It was almost as if we were performing for everyone else at the party. See for yourself...

Like Horror Movies? Mark your calendars...

In a similar fashion of "Masters of Horror", NBC brings us a series of 1-hour Horror movies for network television, Fear Itself.

The 13-episode suspense and horror anthology is supposed to push the boundaries of the horror genre. Each episode is directed by award-winning, sought-after directors John Landis ("An American Werewolf in London"), Darren Bousman ("Saw II, III and IV") and Ronny Yu ("Freddy vs. Jason").

The series was created by Mick Garris, who also executive produced the highly popular horror series Masters of Horror.

Be warned, I fear this series may not live up to the genre's violent expectations, no thanks to network television censor guidelines. I mean when was the last time you saw a horror film (or series, for that matter) that was rated suitable for all ages? NBC is making an interesting attempt to draw horror fans, lets hope they don't fail, the series could have potential.

Series premieres Thursday, June 5 (that's tomorrow!).

Best Action Movie of the summer?

Wanted in HD

*click the little box on the far right to see it in full screen.

If you ask me
Wanted looks to potentially be one of the best movies of the summer. Finally an "R rated" action film that appears to live up to the standard that was once the norm. Ultra violence, over-the-top action sequences and gorgeous women (In this case Angelina Jolie).

If you want to get an edgier look at Wanted check out this Russian trailer. Thanks to the lack of the MPAA in Eastern Europe, we can enjoy this segment thoroughly!

Massive Blaze at my work (Universal)

As many of you may or may not have heard, Universal Studios caught fire this weekend and left most of the back lot in ruins. This is a sad thing for a lot of us here on the lot. Not only was the famous set from Back to the Future completely destroyed so was New York Street and our beloved King Kong exhibit. To every one's benefit no one was severely hurt, and most people weren't even working the day the fire broke out.

Turns out the fire was accidentally roofers using blow torches started the massive blaze.

Here is what no one will ever get to see again while visiting Universal Studios
